EAST LIVERPOOL — A case was bound over to the Columbiana County Grand Jury for James Lewis, 51, Dairy Lane, for allegedly making threats against a St. Clair Township police officer and his K-9 partner.

Lewis waived a preliminary hearing in East Liverpool Municipal Court on a third-degree felony count of retaliation against a public servant, party official, attorney or witness.

Bond was reset at $10,000 cash or surety. Jackson was ordered to have no contact directly or indirectly with Patrolman Joshua Jackson, his residence or place of employment.

An affidavit allegedly that Lewis recently made threats of getting even by inflicting physical harm to the officer who arrested him for a 2017 case in St. Clair Township. Additionally, Lewis allegedly stated that since the officer had a K-9 partner, he would have to break the K-9’s neck too.

Also in East Liverpool Municipal Court, Trevor Allison, 28, Center Street, Wellsville, was fined $900 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense and no license. If a driver intervention program is completed, he’ll receive credit for $450 of the fine and three days served. His driver’s license was suspended and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

Vicki Ingram, 57, South Surry Road, was fined $150 and ordered to complete 10 hours community service for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence. Ingram was accused of attacking her husband, Braidy Ingram, and grabbing and scratching him on Aug. 2 in East Liverpool.

A trial was set Sept. 8 for Diego Gonzalez, 33, Norton Street, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly beating on the door of an apartment at Woodland Hills on Wilbert Avenue on Jan. 19, 2021 and throwing a flower pot which broke a window.

Robert Buzzard, 49, Ohio Avenue, was fined $250 and and ordered to complete 20 hours community service for assault, amended from domestic violence. Buzzard was accused of pinning Kristy Steed down on the bed during an argument in their Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool residence on May 6, poking her in the forehead and then striking her in the face.

Robert Gbur, 43, Mort Drive, was ordered to serve 60 days in jail after violating his probation for petty theft. The offense occurred January 2020 in St. Clair Township.

Ray Jackson, 44, Toledo, was fined $150 and ordered to serve six days in jail and no contact with the victim for telephone harassment.

A hearing was set Aug. 25 for Scott Wedgewood, 59, Chester, W.Va., charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing.

A trial was set Aug. 25 for Douglas Austin, 38, Cannons Mill Road, charged with domestic violence.

A trial was set Sept. 1 for Joshua Miller, 34, Ephraim Street, charged with domestic violence.

A trial was set Sept. 1 for Joseph Jolly, 35, Newell, W.Va., charged with domestic violence.

Bryan Malone, 33, Grimms Bridge Road, was fined $150 and ordered to complete 10 hours community service for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence.

A bench warrant was issued for Kevin Neely, 40, South Surry Street, who failed to appear for a hearing on an assault charge. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. Nelly allegedly picked up an on-duty security guard at East Liverpool City Hospital and slammed him to the ground on April 6.

A bench warrant was issued for Justina DeSarro, 32, Akron, who failed to appear for a hearing on a domestic violence charge. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

A bench warrant was issued for Christopher Nixon, 43, Cumberland, W.Va., who failed to appear for a hearing on charges of possessing drug instruments, speeding and no license.

Cases transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for hearings to be scheduled this fall included: Markeith Baker, 32, Penn Avenue, assault; and Darla Baker, 36, Pennsylvania Avenue, assault.

Dalton McKinnon, 21, LaCroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $350, sentenced to serve four days in jail and ordered to complete 20 hours community service for possessing drug instruments and drug paraphernalia offenses.

A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Sarah Crooms, 37, Hozertown Road, Salineville, charged with possessing drug instruments and drug paraphernalia offenses.

A case was continued for Anthony Talbert, 28, Warren, charged with petty theft and criminal mischief.

George Stoffel Jr., 61, Chester, W.Va., was fined $200 for leaving the scene.

Dorian Thompson, 23, 14th Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Windsor House Inc., doing business as Windsor House of Canfield, state Route 446, Canfield, vs. Patricia Schrom, Timberline Drive, Columbiana; collection sought of $24,300 debt.

Richard Kimble II, Alliance, vs. Butech Inc., South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, vs. Administrator, Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Columbus; appeal of claim denial.

Nationstar Mortgage LLV, Coppell, Texas, vs. Lawrence Newton, Sandy Creek Road, Minerva, et al.; foreclosure sought for Sandy Creek Road, Minerva property.

Ryan Douglas Hurless, Massillon, and Erika Lynn Hurless, Massillon; dissolution granted.

Beth A. Thompson, Wellsville, vs. Bradly R. Thompson, New Philadelphia; divorce granted.

Freedom Mortgage Corporation vs. Robert M. Yoho; case dismissed.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court Thursday, Marc M. Bartholomew, 30, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine; and Cody RM Cox, 31, Monroe Street, Newell, W.Va., were bound over to the grand jury, both charged with third-degree felony. The men were allegedly found in possession of three firearms and ammunition reported stolen by Bartholomew’s stepfather Aug. 11 from an East Martin Street home in East Palestine.

A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Kazon L. Carter, 22, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business, aggravated menacing and assault; and a preliminary hearing was set Aug. 25, as well, for disruption of public service, a fourth-degree felony. He is accused of slapping the victim and taking her cell phone from her when she called police July 24 at their home, then retrieved two guns and threatened to shoot the victim and her son. He then allegedly fled on foot from police Aug. 16 in Wellsville while officers were attempting to arrest him on an warrant out of Columbiana County.

A preliminary hearing was set Aug. 25 for Danielle J. Bowers, 31, Morris Road, Lisbon, charged with possession of drug with forfeiture after allegedly being found in possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on state Route 154 April 3, 2021.

A pretrial was set Aug. 29 for Robert S. Pavlov, 50, Poland, charged with theft for allegedly stealing diesel fuel from his employer’s semi truck Aug. 17 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set Aug. 29 for Jeremy C. Hall, 35, Greenbower Street, Alliance, charged with menacing by stalking for allegedly breaking out the victim’s window April 30 in Salem after making threats to her through texts and a seven-page letter.

A pretrial was set Sept. 1 for Ted L. Ingledue, 53, South Egypt Road, Salem, charged with OVI second offense, failure to control and a seatbelt violation.

A pretrial was set Sept. 12 for Henry J. Mills, 53, Grant Street, Salem, charged with receiving stolen property after allegedly being found in possession of scrap materials for which he had received $65 from a Lisbon Road, Salem Township, business Aug. 12.

A pretrial was set Oct. 13 for Tommy J. Lemasters, 46, Malone Road, Salineville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing the victim through the door of the home Aug. 16, causing her to fall and injury her leg.

A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Haven Nicole Barricella, 27, Warren, charged with speed.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Justin G. Turner, 31, Florida Avenue, Sebring, charged with physical control.

A pretrial was set Nov. 3 for Christopher L. Brown, 46, Walnut Street, Rogers, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Nov. 3 for Nicholas Edward Glenn Packard, 36, Gahanna, charged with aggravated menacing after allegedly making threats to harm the victim during a traffic stop by the highway patrol Oct. 25 in Elkrun Township. He was also fined $100 for reckless operation.

A pretrial was set Nov. 7 for Jacob Austin Morgan, 24, Canton, charged with driving under suspension.

Kenneth A. Elkins, 24, Industry, Pa., was sentenced to 180 days in jail (170 suspended), fined $1,250, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 30 hours of community service and substance abuse evaluation for OVI second offense, lighted lights required, no valid license and possession of marijuana.

William Grays, 20, Detroit, was sentenced to five days in jail and fined $350 for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

Joel Patrick Morgan, 18, Youngstown, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from assured clear distance ahead.

Michael A. Welsh, 48, Carmel Achor Road, Negley, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (10 credited) and fined $300 for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Kashmire Wiggens, 20, Detroit, was sentenced to five days in jail and fined $350 for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Jodi Ann Johnson, 24, West Railroad Street, Columbiana, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Charles David Croft, 53, Deerfield, was sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $750, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.

Alene Sue Jadloski-Thorton, 74, Aebi Avenue, Alliance, was fined $150 for no driver’s license amended from wrongful entrustment.

Matthew Crowl, 44, West Wilson Street, Salem, was sentenced to 60 days in jail (11 credited) and fined $150 for possession of drug abuse instrument.

Dawn M. Stoup, 49, Deerfield, was fined $140 for no driver’s license amended from driving under suspension and a traffic control device violation.

Brandon House, 26, Whinnery Road, Salem, was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $200 for receiving stolen property.

Kaleb E. Simpson, 32, state Route 7, New Waterford, was sentenced to 180 days (160 suspended, 11 credited), fined $150 and ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and substance abuse/anger management treatment and have no communication with the victims for domestic violence.

Jacklyn Marie Ernst, 40, Franklin Avenue, Alliance, was fined $30 for speed. A seatbelt violation was dismissed.

Tiffany M. Cox, 31, New Galilee, Pa., was fined $250 for driving under suspension and speed.

Dennis A. Higinbotham, 46, Wellsville Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and expired plates.
